Biography for Media Publication

Emily Fisher is running for Idaho's House of Representatives for District 23. Her family has lived in Southern Idaho for over 100 years — and her commitment to this state's land, communities, and future is personal.

Emily's campaign is focused on public lands, water rights, education, and protecting Idahoans from government overreach. Her approach is straightforward: constitutional principles, Idaho priorities over outside interests, and practical solutions that cut across party lines.

She is a business coach, Idaho Master Naturalist, community leader and wildlife advocate. She has started and led social impact projects, for example: training veterans to rehabilitate rescue horses. She has volunteered at local nonprofits including NAMI and the Wyakin Foundation. Since 2021, Emily has dedicated herself to public lands issues. She spent several years working to support and enable statewide conservation legislation at the Idaho Wildlife Federation. Today, Emily aims to continue her Idaho advocacy work in a different role — supporting the people, communities and resources of District 23 as their representative.

Emily now lives in Kuna with her fiancé and their cow dogs. She enjoys creating wildlife-inspired pottery, gardening and exploring BLM lands.
